Hartrey Advisors is led by John L. Goodman, Jr.
-- "Jack Goodman". Jack served as Vice President of
Research and Chief Economist at the
National Multi Housing Council for four years prior
to forming Hartrey Advisors
in 2000. Previous positions
include senior economist at the Federal Reserve Board, economics faculty at the
University of Virginia, and senior research staff at the Urban Institute.
Jack is a graduate of Miami University and earned a Ph.D. in economics at the University of Michigan
Dr.
Goodman's research on a wide variety of topics in housing, real estate finance, urban
development, and demographic change has appeared in leading professional
publications and academic journals. He
speaks frequently at industry meetings and academic conferences.
Jack has been elected or appointed by his peers to serve as an officer or
director of leading professional associations, including the American Real
Estate and Urban Economics Association, the Population Association of America,
and the Real Estate Research Institute.
In addition, he has served on the editorial boards of four leading real
estate publications. He has
consulted overseas on assignments for the World Bank and for USAID, he served
for two years as a Fellow of Harvard's Joint Center for Housing Studies, and he has
chaired the Planning and Housing Commissions of Arlington County, Virginia.
